Wynn Las Vegas
The short answer
Wynn Las Vegas is the best luxury hotel on the Strip in 2026. Book a Tower Suites room for $60–$120 more than the standard rate—same building, private entrance, separate pool. Skip the base Resort King unless it's under $250.

Why Wynn still sets the standard
Steve Wynn is gone but his obsessions—sightlines, lighting, carpet density—remain baked into every hallway. The rooms are the largest of any five-star on the Strip and the bathrooms are so oversized they feel misprinted.
Book the Tower Suites. Same building, separate entrance, private pool, elite check-in, and it usually runs $60–$120 more than the standard Resort King. On a 3-night trip that's the difference between "nice hotel" and "trip of your life."
What's actually good to eat here
Skip the buffet (there isn't one anymore). Instead:
- SW Steakhouse — get the double-cut prime tomahawk and sit on the lake patio at fountain show time.
- Mizumi — Michelin-caliber Japanese with an omakase counter locals actually book.
- Wing Lei — the only Michelin-starred Chinese restaurant in North America. The Peking duck is 24-hour notice, worth it.
The pool situation
Four pools, all shaded by mature trees—rare in Vegas. The European (topless) pool at Encore Beach Club is next door and connected. Don't bother with cabanas at the main pools; the shade is already there.
How to actually save money here
Book direct through wynnlasvegas.com during their "Resort Discount" flash sales (usually Tuesday emails). Wynn Rewards status is real—Preferred gets you late checkout and a $50 dining credit that pays for a round of drinks at Parasol Up.
